About The Position

The position involves performing patient assessments, determining the priority of care, and providing immediate interventions. The role requires analyzing assessment data, formulating and implementing a plan of care, and evaluating its effectiveness in collaboration with medical staff, all in accordance with the policies and procedures of IHN.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in a BSN or MSN program from an accredited school of professional nursing within six months of hire or rehire.
  • Graduate on or before the third employment anniversary date into a nursing position.
  • One-year clinical experience required.
  • Current licensure with New Jersey State Board of Nursing.
  • American Heart Association BLS required.
  • American Heart Association ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
  • American Heart Association PALS required within 6 months of hire.
  • CPI initial for new hires to be completed within the introductory period, and renewal every 18 months.
  • Cardiac dysrhythmia required within 6 months of hire.
  • Critical Care Course within 1 year or 2 years CC experience or current CEN.
  • Completion of the Trauma Nurse Core Courses within 12 months of initial assignment.

Nice To Haves

  • BSN or MSN graduates preferred.
  • Two years ED experience preferred for per diem positions.
  • National Certification in specialty area preferred.
