About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Room performs patient assessment, determines priority of care, and provides immediate interventions. The RN analyzes assessment data, formulates and implements a plan of care, and evaluates its effectiveness in collaboration with medical staff and in accordance with the policies and procedures of Inspira Health Network (IHN).

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current licensure in the State of New Jersey as required by law.
• Enrollment in a BSN or MSN program from an accredited school of professional nursing, with graduation on or before the second employment anniversary date.
• One year of clinical experience required.
• Current licensure with New Jersey State Board of Nursing.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• American Heart Association ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
• American Heart Association PALS certification required within 6 months of hire.
• CPI initial training for new hires to be completed within the introductory period, with renewal every 18 months.
• Cardiac dysrhythmia training required within 6 months of hire.
• Completion of the Trauma Nurse Core Courses within 12 months of initial assignment, or a minimum of eight contact hours of education every two years in trauma assessment, intervention, and stabilization.

Nice To Haves

• Two years of Emergency Department experience preferred for per diem positions.
• National Certification in specialty area preferred.
