About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced adult emergency department. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while collaborating with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
- Active New York State RN license required (compact licenses not accepted)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of adult Emergency Room nursing experience
- Strong IV insertion and phlebotomy skills required
- Experience with conscious sedation required
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult emergency room patients
- Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care based on acuity
- Initiate and manage IV therapy and perform phlebotomy
- Assist with and monitor patients undergoing conscious sedation
- Administer medications and treatments per provider orders
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with facility policies
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams in emergency situations
