About The Position

Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department Up to $20,000 Sign-On Bonus Join a team dedicated to delivering high-quality, compassionate care. As a Registered Nurse (RN) – Acute Care at Jacksonville Memorial Hospital, you’ll play a vital role in providing expert nursing care, assessing patient conditions and working closely with interdisciplinary teams to drive positive health outcomes. What You’ll Do: Deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing care in a fast-paced acute care environment. Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans tailored to patient needs. Administer medications, IV therapies and treatments with precision and adherence to clinical best practices. Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans and self-care strategies to support recovery. Supervise and delegate tasks to LPNs and unlicensed assistive personnel, ensuring safe and effective care delivery. Advocate for patients by fostering open communication, addressing concerns and ensuring a positive healthcare experience. Why Join Us? Requirements

  • A compassionate, detail-oriented nurse who thrives in a dynamic healthcare environment and is committed to providing excellent patient care.
  • Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing required
  • Licensed RN in Illinois
  • CPR certification required or must be completed during onboarding
  • New graduates and experienced RNs welcome

Nice To Haves

  • BSN preferred
  • 2-3 years of acute care experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care while adhering to hospital policies, safety standards and best practices.
  • Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed and document all care provided.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Assist with training, mentoring and onboarding new nurses and students.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and care efficiency.
  • Maintain compliance with infection control protocols, safety regulations and regulatory standards.
