Level III Trauma Center located just 20 minutes south of Minneapolis at the intersection of I-35E and I-35W 45-bed Emergency Department serving all age groups, including a 20% pediatric patient population Average of 191 patients per day and an annual census of approximately 66,000 Established, trusted provider of innovative community care since 1984 Multidisciplinary team including emergency physicians, APPs, RNs, ER techs, case managers, and support staff Schedule: This position will be working 0.9 FTE (72 hours every two weeks). The shift length will be 8 hours on the day/evening/night shift and will also work every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). Position Overview As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, you’ll: Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate individualized nursing care Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality care Respond to emergent and high-acuity situations with professionalism and clinical excellence Serve a diverse patient population from newborns to older adults Follow nursing best practices, hospital policies, and the MN Nurse Practice Act The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.
