Registered Nurse (RN) Emergency Department
About The Position
This is for a part time and full-time day or night shift RN position in the Emergency Department at MedStar Franklin Square. Unit Highlights Welcome to MedStar Franklin Square, a Magnet designated hospital. MedStar Franklin Square Emergency Department is a 62 bed department, with 18 flex beds, and a 9 bed Stroke Response Unit. MedStar Franklin Square is also a STEMI receiving and A Comprehensive Stroke Center. The Emergency Department see's approximately 70,000 patients a year and serves a diverse patient population. 1-year acute care experience preferred. Must have graduated from an accredited nursing program and have a Maryland or compact state nursing license.
Requirements
- ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
- Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required (AHA or American Red Cross).
Nice To Haves
- Prior Clinical Nursing Experience preferred.
- 1-year acute care experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs-from routine to highly complex.
- You will assess evolving patient conditions, identify actual and potential health concerns, and develop appropriate care plans.
- Interventions may be delivered directly or coordinated through collaboration with other members of the nursing team
