About The Position

Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department – Full-time 7P – MAGNET, Level I Trauma Center Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are better + together Work location: Texas Health Fort Worth, 1304 Pennsylvania Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104 Work hours: Full-time, 36 hours weekly, 3 x 12 hours shifts, 7 pm – 7 am Department Highlights 100-bed Marion Emergency Care, 75,000 square foot Level I Trauma center For minor care needs, the ED offers a Quick Care area designed to expedite care and patient experience. Those requiring more extensive workups will be taken to one of the diagnostic rooms. Patients with critical injuries or illnesses are treated in one of 22 Emergent Care rooms, including three resuscitation rooms for the most severe trauma cases. ER has a dedicated area for comprehensive, compassionate care of sexual assault victims. Enjoy self-scheduling to help with work/life balance. Requirements

• Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• CLIAFE – Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required
• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire required
• BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
• ACLS – within 90 days required
• PALS – within 90 days required
• TNCC or ATCN – within 12 months of hire required
• CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 90 days of hire
• 1-year experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required
• demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
• maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patients
• possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism
• have basic computer skills using medical management application systems

Nice To Haves

• Current ED strongly preferred - will consider ICU/PCU and Tele experience

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
• assesses the patient
• plans the care of the patient
• intervenes as appropriate
• evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
