About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide direct patient care, support patients and families, and participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of individualized plans of care. The RN will observe, collect data, plan, implement, and evaluate the physical, psychological, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs of patients in alignment with best practices and clinical standards. The RN will work collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered care.

Requirements

• Active RN license in New York State
• Minimum 1–2 years of ED or relevant nursing experience
• Strong clinical judgment and patient assessment skills
• Ability to manage multiple patients with varying acuity levels
• Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and time management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team

Nice To Haves

• Experience in mental health or crisis evaluations
• Prior experience in primary stroke or chest pain accredited settings

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient movement and staff assignments in the department
• Collaborate with triage, provider, and support staff to manage patient flow
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to support throughput and patient care
• Participate in conflict resolution, time management, and organization of department resources
