About The Position

Havasu Regional Medical Center is a 171-bed hospital that offers a broad scope of services in major medical disciplines. A medical staff of more than 33 affiliated physicians represents a broad cross-section of expertise in 31 medical specialties. The Registered Nurse (RN) in this role oversees treatment of medical and surgical patients needing dialysis procedures. Dialysis delivery of care includes assessment, problem identification, interventions and treatments, and evaluation of actual, potential or perceived physical or psychological problems. Procedures or treatments provided in Dialysis include but are not limited to: dialysis admission assessment, medication, IV therapy, administration of blood and blood products, pain control, O2 therapy, assisting physician with Quintons, dressing application and changes, Quinton Cath, declotting Quinton catheters, accessing AV shunt for diagnostic tests i.e. venograms, monitoring patient continually during Hemoreplacement treatment.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Nursing Required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Preferred.
• Minimum two years of Dialysis nursing experience preferred.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• ACLS/BCLS required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees treatment of medical and surgical patients needing dialysis procedures.
• Conducts dialysis admission assessments.
• Administers medication and IV therapy.
• Provides pain control and O2 therapy.
• Assists physician with Quintons.
• Applies and changes dressings.
• Declots Quinton catheters.
• Accesses AV shunt for diagnostic tests.
• Monitors patients continually during Hemoreplacement treatment.
