About The Position

As a Registered Nurse (RN) with Workfit Staffing, you are the heart of patient care. You make a positive difference every day in the lives of patients, their families, and visitors—going above and beyond to meet their needs with courtesy, kindness, respect, and compassion. Workfit Staffing provides a full range of dialysis treatment options to patients with chronic kidney disease. We care for adults from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and ethnicities. Patients may receive dialysis temporarily—until their kidney function recovers, they return to their home dialysis center, move, or receive a transplant—or on an ongoing basis. Treatments typically occur 2–3 times per week and last 3–5 hours per session. Our staffing model consists of RNs, LPNs, and Techs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN).
  • Registered Nurse license in New York State.
  • Dialysis experience.
  • Minimum 1 year nursing experience.
  • BLS – Basic Life Support – American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Charge Nurse experience required.
  • Outpatient chronic and acute experience required.
  • Charge Nurse for 24 chair unit when assigned.
  • Acute 8 station coverage.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, patient-centered clinical care.
  • Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patients, using physical, psychological, educational, and risk-screen data appropriate for the patient’s age and development.
  • Communicate and document patient assessments with the interdisciplinary team and utilize all available resources to meet patient and family needs.
  • Develop and document individualized plans of care, treatments, and services based on patient needs, strengths, limitations, and goals.
  • Comply with organizational policies, procedures, and protocols, including safety, medication administration, and documentation standards.
  • Revise plans of care based on ongoing evaluations and update documentation accordingly.
  • Complete at least one Clinical Research Utilization (CRU) form per year using a research article from the last five years conducted in the United States.
  • Complete a minimum of 5 nationally approved contact hours (CNE or CEU) per year.
  • Complete mandatory in-services and health screenings in a timely manner.
  • Maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
