Requirements

• RN License in the state you are applying.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification is preferred initially and required after 90 days of employment.
• Certification through the Nephrology Nursing Certification Commission (NNCC) is preferred but not required.

Nice To Haves

• ACLS is REQUIRED from day 1 for all Charge Nurses, High Obs, and ICU.

Responsibilities

• Utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit.
• Planning, coordinating, and providing patient care including interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, and patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization.
• Accessing community resources.
• Overseeing dialysis treatments required by patients suffering from acute or chronic kidney failure as ordered by physicians.
• Performing other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse.
