The Cardiovascular Unit at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital embodies a culture of teamwork and effective communication, essential for providing specialized care to critically ill patients. The CVU is a 12 bed unit (8 critical and 4 telemetry). You’ll make an impact by utilizing your specialized plan-of-care intervention and serving as a patient-care innovator. You will shape exceptional patient journeys every day and leverage your skills and our cutting-edge technology to directly impact patient wellbeing.

Requirements

  • Current state RN license.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification or obtain within 90 days after hire date.
  • Current American Heart Association ACLS certification or obtain within 6 months after hire date.
  • Successfully pass an arrhythmia exam within 90 days after hire date.
  • NIHSS Certification obtained within 90 days after hire date.
  • Critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing.
