About The Position
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Cardiovascular Operating Room team at a leading medical center in Phoenix, AZ. This role is ideal for an experienced perioperative nurse passionate about delivering high-quality care in complex cardiovascular surgical procedures.
Requirements
- Active RN license in Arizona (or compact state license)
- Minimum 1–2 years of CVOR or cardiovascular surgical experience preferred
- BLS required; ACLS preferred
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular surgical procedures and equipment
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure surgical environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain the operating room for cardiovascular surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during open heart, vascular, and thoracic surgeries
- Monitor patient condition before, during, and after procedures
- Ensure sterile technique and adherence to safety protocols
- Operate specialized CVOR equipment and technology
- Provide patient education and emotional support
- Accurately document patient care and surgical activities
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for continuity of care
