About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with strong CVICU and ICU experience for a 13-week night shift contract assignment in Hyannis, MA. This role primarily supports the ICU but requires flexibility to float to CVICU and, if needed due to operational demands or low census, to Med/Surg Telemetry units. CVICU experience is required.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
  • Prior Critical Care experience required
  • CVICU experience required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
  • Successful completion of facility-required pharmacology and basic arrhythmia exams
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in English

  • BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
  • CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse) Certification
  • TCAR (Trauma Care After Resuscitation) Certification
  • Completion of an approved De-escalation Certification Course
  • Demonstrated expertise in ICU-level monitoring and advanced cardiac care

Responsibilities

  • Utilize the nursing process to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and complete patient documentation
  • Conduct ongoing assessments (physical, psychological, social) from admission through discharge
  • Develop and communicate care plans with interdisciplinary teams
  • Administer and monitor medications and treatments
  • Demonstrate proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator care, and intracranial pressure monitoring
  • Function effectively in the charge nurse role when assigned
  • Utilize computerized nursing informatics systems
  • Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to staff
  • Adhere to safety protocols, including blood and body fluid policies
  • Participate in quality improvement and patient care evaluations
  • Maintain ongoing professional development and competency
