About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Cardio Vascular ICU (CVICU) provides nursing care to patients using the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN directs and leads other assigned team members and collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide age and developmentally appropriate care in accordance with nursing standards. The role emphasizes patient/family centered care, focusing on the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, religious, and environmental needs of patients. Responsibilities include maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment, participating in shared governance, and promoting clinical excellence. The RN coordinates effective patient care services and identifies clinical priorities to improve patient outcomes. The position requires a commitment to professional growth and participation in a healthy work environment.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree in Nursing.
• Minimum of one year of work experience as a registered nurse.
• Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a Cardio Vascular ICU setting.
• Additional certifications in advanced cardiac life support (ACLS).
