Experienced Registered Nurse RN CVICU Critical Care
About The Position
Cardiovascular ICU RN FT Day 70%/Night 30% Rotating Shift MedStar Union Memorial Hospital Take your critical care career to the next level by joining the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) at MedStar Union Memorial Hospital. ICU or CVIMC experience is strongly preferred. Our specialized 8-bed CVICU is a high-acuity environment where nurses care for patients recovering from complex cardiovascular procedures such as open-heart surgeries, catheter-based valve replacements, vascular interventions, and thoracic surgeries. You'll work with cutting-edge technology alongside a collaborative team of intensivists, surgeons, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants, with team rounds held three times daily to support a coordinated, patient-centered approach. In this role, you will assess changes in patient condition, develop and implement individualized care plans, and provide life-saving interventions while growing professionally in a supportive and high-performing environment. Key Responsibilities As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs-from routine to highly complex. You will assess evolving patient conditions, identify actual and potential health concerns, and develop appropriate care plans. Interventions may be delivered directly or coordinated through collaboration with other members of the nursing team
Requirements
- ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
- Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required (AHA or American Red Cross).
Nice To Haves
- Prior Clinical Nursing Experience preferred.
- ICU or CVIMC experience is strongly preferred.
