About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for an Adult Emergency Department / ICU Holding Unit in a fast-paced acute care environment. This position requires strong critical care experience , with preference given to candidates who also have Emergency Department (ED) experience . The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments , respond effectively in high-acuity situations, and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary care teams. Candidates must be comfortable working every other weekend and selected holidays .

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must be current or able to recertify).
  • Minimum 1.5 years of recent acute care experience within the last two years, preferably in a hospital setting of similar size and complexity.
  • ICU / Critical Care experience required.
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills .

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in Level I or Level II Trauma Centers preferred.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality patient care in an Adult ICU / ED Holding Unit .
  • Perform thorough nursing assessments , monitoring, and interventions for critically ill patients.
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established clinical protocols.
  • Continuously monitor patient status and respond to emergency situations promptly.
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans .
  • Accurately document patient care using an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system .
  • Maintain professional nursing standards while adhering to hospital policies, safety regulations, and infection control guidelines.
  • Perform clinical duties with minimal supervision in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment .
