About The Position

The ICU (Critical Care) Registered Nurse (RN) position is responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients. This includes utilizing strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status, determining the priority of the patient’s problems and needs, implementing clinical nursing interventions for acute, critical patients that require intensive medical care, developing and performing patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes, and ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment.

Requirements

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• 1 year of RN experience (required)
• 6 months RN experience in a Med/Surg, Critical Care, Stepdown, or Emergency Department Unit (preferred)
• BLS Basic Life Support or ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support (preferred at hire)
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (preferred at hire)

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science Nursing (preferred, not required)
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Conduct and analyze initial and ongoing patient assessment
• Create a plan of care, implement treatment, and evaluate treatment effectiveness
• Synthesize and prioritize information to take immediate and decisive evidence-based, patient-focused action
• Anticipate and respond with confidence to rapidly changing patient conditions
• Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and the organization’s policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
