Unit Highlights MedStar Georgetown University Hospital's Intensive Care Units: Join our exceptional Intensive Care Unit (ICU) teams in the recently inaugurated Verstandig Pavilion, located on Georgetown's campus. This state-of-the-art Medical and Surgical building, which spans 477,000 square feet, is dedicated to delivering optimal care and comfort to our patients. Why Join Our ICU Teams: Cutting-Edge Facilities: The Verstandig Pavilion is equipped with all-private inpatient rooms and state-of-the-art medical equipment, creating an environment that prioritizes excellence in patient care. Seamless Patient Throughput: Each specialized ICU shares a floor with its own Intermediate-Care-level unit, fostering seamless patient throughput between different acuities. Comprehensive Healthcare Hub: The Pavilion features a modern, expanded Emergency Department, new Operating Rooms with specialized surgical visualization capabilities, and a rooftop helipad with direct access to our ICUs, ED, and ORs. Requirements
- ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
- Active DC RN License and Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers required
Nice To Haves
- Prior Clinical Nursing experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- As a Clinical Nurse you will deliver proficient nursing care to patients and families whose needs range from uncomplicated to highly complex.
- You will identify current and potential complex problems of specific patient populations and critically analyzes trends and changes in patient status and plans appropriate interventions directly or indirectly through other nurses.
