About The Position

Registered Nurse (RN) – Critical Care (Adult ICU) – Full Time – Day or Night (12-Hour Shifts) New York (Acute Care Hospital) Cedar Park Med is hiring Registered Nurses (RN) – Adult ICU / Critical Care for an immediate 13-week assignment in a Level 1 / Level 2 trauma hospital. If you’re experienced in high-acuity environments and confident in managing critically ill adult patients, this is an opportunity to step into a structured ICU setting with strong clinical expectations and team-based support. Night shift needs are priority. Shift / Schedule Day shift & Night shift 12hr shift 13-week assignment (possible extension) Every other weekend and some holidays required Hiring for both local and traveler positions! Only candidates outside a 50-mile radius qualify for traveler roles. Rates vary based on experience and whether the position is local or traveler. Position Overview As an RN in the Adult ICU, you will provide direct critical care to adult patients with complex and high-acuity conditions. You’ll perform advanced assessments, manage hemodynamically unstable patients, administer critical medications, and collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. Placement within Adult ICU units will be based on prior experience and competency.

Requirements

• Current New York State RN Registration
• Current BLS certification or ability to obtain prior to start
• Minimum 1.5 years recent RN experience (within the past 2 years) in an acute care hospital of similar size/level
• Experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center
• Previous EPIC Electronic Medical Records experience

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive ICU-level nursing care with minimal orientation
• Perform advanced patient assessments and monitor for acute changes
• Administer IV medications, titratable drips, and critical therapies per protocol
• Manage telemetry and invasive monitoring as appropriate
• Collaborate with intensivists and interdisciplinary teams to support patient outcomes
• Document assessments, interventions, and responses accurately in EPIC
