About The Position

Registered Nurse - Coordinator Position Summary Provides direct patient care using the nursing process and supports unit coordination activities to promote safe, high-quality outcomes. Serves as a resource to staff and assists with scheduling, education, and performance initiatives. Reports to the Director or Manager of Department. Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing required
  • Current RN license in state of practice
  • BCLS required
  • Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in stressful environments
  • Proficiency navigating multiple clinical software systems
  • Effective English communication (read, write, speak, and understand)
  • Ability to complete the Skills Competency Checklist within 90 days of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
  • ACLS and PALS preferred
  • Handle with Care preferred

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates staff scheduling, educational/development activities, and performance evaluations.
  • Identifies and resolves issues affecting delivery of clinical services and patient flow.
  • Performs quality assurance studies and assists with implementation of QA/QI initiatives.
  • Serves as a resource to staff and external contacts regarding clinical standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Monitors departmental compliance with accreditation, legal, and The Joint Commission requirements.
  • Provides direct patient care as needed in accordance with scope and standards of practice.
  • Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
  • Provides quality patient care and works other shifts/units as needed; may be assigned on-call.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
