About The Position

UC Health is hiring a Part Time Registered Nurse (RN) Clinical Nurse (CN I) for the Acute Care Medicine 8 Northwest unit for the night shift at UC Medical Center. The Acute Care Medicine Nurse will support the Medical Centers medicine and Level 1 Trauma Center, delivering high-quality care to patients based on assessed needs, established standards of care and according to policy and procedures. Between our 3rd and 4th floor, there is a total of 30 beds with ratios ranging from 4 to 6 patients per nurse. Majority of patients are transferred from the Emergency Departments and occasionally lateral transfers from the main hospital that need an extended hospital stay.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience in acute care settings preferred.
• Ability to work part-time, 24 hours per week on night shifts.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in trauma care.
• Previous work in a Level 1 Trauma Center.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality care to patients based on assessed needs.
• Support the Medical Center's medicine and Level 1 Trauma Center.
• Adhere to established standards of care and policies and procedures.
• Manage patient care for a ratio of 4 to 6 patients per nurse.
