About The Position

The registered nurse in the Nursing Float Pool at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital is responsible for providing patient-centered wholistic care, engaging with diverse populations, and collaborating with inter-professional colleagues to deliver exemplary care. The role involves assessing patient and family readiness to learn, initiating referrals, and coordinating discharge planning. The nurse will utilize the nursing process to assess needs, plan interventions, and evaluate care effectiveness, while developing therapeutic relationships with patients and families. Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current Illinois RN license.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with patient care equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient-centered wholistic care, engaging with diverse populations.
