About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) Clinical Program Manager is responsible for planning and implementing clinical services and performance improvement activities within a multidisciplinary care framework. This role involves collaboration with management to develop and maintain departmental policies and procedures, ensuring high standards of nursing care and compliance among staff. The manager will also oversee the operational, personnel, and financial aspects of the clinical program, while serving as a liaison between clinical staff and hospital administration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Current License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required.
  • 5-7 years of technical experience required.
  • 0-2 years of leadership/management experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with management to establish nursing care standards and evaluates staff compliance.
  • Identifies research protocols affecting the patient population served and keeps nursing staff informed.
  • Facilitates effective provision of support services essential to patient care and maintains a safe environment for patients.
  • Develops department goals and objectives to support institutional values and goals, with input from staff.
  • Provides education for professional staff related to patient care and oversees staff competencies.
  • Monitors clinical process indicators, system issues, and outcomes related to quality of care.
  • Develops quality indicators, filters, and audits; identifies trends and sentinel events.
  • Participates in case reviews of patients and assists management in implementing remedial actions.
  • Manages operational, personnel, and financial aspects of the clinical program.
  • Serves as a clinical liaison to hospital administration and coordinates with doctor's offices.
  • Assists in organizing compliance with governmental and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversees data collection, coding, storage, and validation while protecting patient confidentiality.
  • Facilitates research and protocol design, data collection, analysis, and publication efforts.
