About The Position

The Registered Nurse- RN (Clinical) The Infusion Nurse is responsible for providing safe, high-quality infusion and injection services while supporting operational, regulatory, and administrative functions across infusion care sites. This role requires strong clinical expertise, organizational skills, and compassionate patient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Requirements

  • Clinical knowledge of patient care operations, infection control, safety standards, and HIPAA regulations.
  • Familiarity with billing, insurance, and medical coding
  • Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and standard office equipment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional, courteous demeanor.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service and maintain professionalism under pressure.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and in compliance with regulations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to maintain regular, reliable attendance to ensure continuity of patient care and office operations.
  • BLS Certification (or willingness to obtain certification)

Nice To Haves

  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree of Nursing
  • Prior knowledge of an electronic health record
  • 5 years of employment as a Registered Nurse.
  • 3 years of experience in acute or ambulatory setting involving in intravenous access preferred.
  • 2yearsofexperienceinaninfusionsettingpreferred.
  • Excellent IV skills
  • lgRN® or CRNI® certification(or willingness to obtain certification)
  • PALS (or willingness to obtain certification)
  • Willingness to obtain any additional certifications that we find appropriate

Responsibilities

  • Perform nursing assessments; prepare, administer, and monitor infusion therapies.
  • Establish and maintain IV and port access; respond to emergencies as needed.
  • Ensure completion of pre-infusion documentation, consent, and current orders.
  • Educate patients and families and communicate clinical updates to providers.
  • Obtain and follow up on authorizations, referrals, and pre-certifications.
  • Support patient flow, scheduling, phone communications, and documentation in the EHR.
  • Maintain clean, safe infusion environments and manage supplies, medications, and equipment.
  • Monitor inventory, equipment functionality, and environmental logs.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA,ACHC, and any regulatory requirements, and internal protocols.
  • Participate in quality improvement, risk management, inspections, and special projects.
  • Participate in staff meetings, cross-training, and continuous improvement of clinical and risk management processes.
  • Report misconduct or unusual activities and assist with special projects as assigned.
  • Flexibility to travel between sites as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
