About The Position

Registered Nurse (RN) - Central Tele FT.9 Days Department: 12525 TeleHealth: System Nursing - Central Telemetry Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hou rs Per Week: 36 Schedule Details/Additional Information: 3 - 12s 7a-730p Oak Brook Center Pay Range $37.50 - $56.25 Tele Experience Preferred Major Responsibilities: Telemetry or stepdown or critical care or arrhythmia RN experience Involved with team education and presentations Engages in various committees and/or leads committees Familiar with Philips and functionality EPIC knowledge Word, Excel, PowerPoint Standardized telemetry workflows and escalation algorithm Able to take the charge role for the shift. Assist with staffing Quality and PI audits and data Reviews patients EMR, patients on antiarrhythmic, identifies opportunities, has RN to RN conversations. Resource for bedside RNs and on-site telemetry technicians Rounding withing the department with purpose Identify real time opportunities for improvement or safety concerns Giving feedback to leadership Assisting in development of initiatives, best practices, and workflows Providing 1:1 real time constructive feedback/peer feedback to teammates. Reporting safety concerns Magnet involvement, including literature review Creating education and skills day Experience Typically requires 2-3 years of experience in clinical nursing. Telemetry or stepdown or critical care or arrhythmia RN experience and Knowledge of telemetry workflows and rhythm interpretation skills preferred. Education Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) Certification preferred Certification / Registration / License Basic Life Support (BLS). Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently throughout the workday. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies. Must be able to: push/pull with 30 lbs. of force. Must be able to walk up/downstairs (four flights max) Must be able to work 12 hours a day Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch. Perform physical safety interventions such as verbal de-escalation, if needed. May be exposed to chemical and hazardous waste as well as blood and body fluids and communicable disease. Therefore, protective equipment must be worn as necessary. Must be able to respond quickly to changes in patient and/or unit conditions. Physical Abilities Testing may be required. Requirements
