About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the CCU/ICU at HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients experiencing critical illnesses. This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to maintain professional nursing standards and providing leadership in patient care. The position requires critical care skills and the ability to manage acutely ill patients across various age groups.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License.
• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• 1 year of RN ICU experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Current BLS & ACLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• CCRN Certification within two years of hire preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a Level II Trauma Center.
• Additional certifications in critical care nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care and related assistance to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in critical condition.
• Collaborate with ancillary nursing and other patient care team personnel to maintain professional nursing standards.
• Delegate nursing tasks based on patient needs and the skills of the nursing staff.
• Demonstrate critical care skills for managing acutely ill patients, including age-specific needs for geriatric patients.
