About The Position
The Ronnie Green Heart Center CCU is an 18-bed in-patient unit with bedside monitors for hemodynamic monitoring. The unit provides comprehensive care to cardiac patients requiring intense monitoring and nursing care. Patient care in Ronnie Green Heart Center includes early detection and prevention of complications, management of complex physiological problems, patient/family education and family psychosocial support systems. The unit cares for patients with: STEMI (ST elevation myocardial infarction), HF (heart failure), CRRT (continuous renal replacement therapy), LVAD (left ventricular assist device), IABP (intra-aortic balloon pump), Impella, and advanced ventilator management. Patients on this unit include critically ill, unstable patients in need of intensive treatment such as ventilator support and continuous vasoactive drug therapy, as well as patients who suffer from reversible disease or acute illness and are admitted for aggressive medical/surgical treatment that cannot be provided elsewhere in the hospital.
