About The Position

We have an innovative cardiovascular program and we are looking for caring knowledgeable Registered Nurses to add to our team. We have 16 Cath Lab Same Day Surgery rooms and five Cardiac Cath Lab procedure rooms and two treatment rooms. We work with 10 Cardiologist and seven of which are interventionist and one electrophysiologist. Job Summary RN essential functions include, but are not limited to: Assessment/reassessment - Systematically assesses / reassesses the health care needs of individuals; appropriate for specific age groups and patient conditions. Involves patient, family and other healthcare providers as appropriate Nursing Diagnosis and Outcomes - Analyzes assessment to determine nursing diagnosis and expected outcomes, involving patient, family and other healthcare providers as appropriate Implementation and Coordination of Care - Provides nursing care through interventions to achieve goals and needs using professional judgement guided by current evidence-based practice, regulations and policy Evaluation - Evaluates patient outcomes by utilizing the critical thinking process and evidence based knowledge to recognize problems, evaluate facts and reach sound conclusions Evaluates discharge needs related to plan of care utilizing resources as needed. Requirements

  • Diploma or Associate’s degree (ADN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred
  • Previous experience in healthcare field preferred
  • (Above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) training or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment
  • New grads are required to complete Norman Regional's Nurse Residency Program
