As a Full-Time Registered Nurse (RN) in the Cath Lab at Minden Medical Center, your daily responsibilities will focus on providing high-quality care to patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures. You will work closely with physicians and healthcare professionals to prepare patients for cath lab procedures, monitor vital signs, and ensure a safe and comfortable experience. Expect to assist in both diagnostic and interventional procedures, while maintaining a sterile environment and adhering to safety protocols. Your schedule will be Monday through Thursday from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Friday from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m., allowing for a balanced work-life experience. Prepare to engage in hands-on care, utilize critical thinking skills, and develop compassionate relationships with patients and their families as you deliver exceptional customer-centric service. What we're looking for in a Registered Nurse (RN) Cath Lab To excel as a Full-Time Registered Nurse (RN) in the Cath Lab at Minden Medical Center, a strong foundation in critical care nursing is essential. Candidates should possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and an Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, demonstrating readiness to handle emergency situations effectively. Four years of critical care experience is preferred, equipping you with the necessary clinical judgment and advanced assessment skills required in a fast-paced environment. In addition to clinical expertise, successful candidates should have strong communication skills for effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. Proficiency in using patient monitoring systems and electronic health record software is crucial for maintaining accurate documentation and coordination of care. Attention to detail, empathy, and a problem-solving mindset will further enhance your ability to provide exceptional patient-centered care in the cath lab setting.
