Requirements

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of Minnesota
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including CPR and AED
Minimum of two years of nursing experience; long-term care experience preferred
Demonstrated leadership ability to develop, motivate, and guide staff; strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills; ability to prioritize responsibilities, remain flexible, and perform effectively in high-stress situations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and collaborate effectively as part of a team
Proven management skills, including planning and oversight of resources and the design and improvement of work processes

Responsibilities

Oversee and manage an assigned nursing home household with a strong focus on person-centered care
Guide and support household staff in meeting the physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs of residents
Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility policies
Coordinate resident admissions, discharges, and transfers to and from the household
Complete the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI), including MDS assessments, CAAs, triggers, and individualized care plans for assigned residents
Perform nursing skills requiring RN licensure, including IV therapy and blood draws
Process, transcribe, and implement physician orders in compliance with established policies and procedures
Maintain current knowledge of emergency protocols and respond effectively to emergent situations
