About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Case Manager with a strong background in Utilization Review and Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI). The RN will be responsible for coordinating patient care, ensuring appropriate resource utilization, and supporting documentation accuracy within a hospital setting.

Requirements

• Active New York State RN license/registration
• BLS certification (must be current or eligible for recertification)
• Minimum 1.5 years recent acute care experience (within the last 2 years)
• Required: Inpatient pediatric experience
• Experience in hospitals of similar or larger size/trauma level
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Clean professional record (no license suspension or liability claims)
• Ability to pass background check, drug screening, and health clearance

• Acute care experience
• Experience with Epic EMR

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage patient care plans across the continuum of care
• Perform utilization review to ensure appropriate level of care and resource use
• Support clinical documentation improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and payer requirements
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and care teams
