Requirements

  • Graduate of school of nursing with a minimum of an Associate of Science degree or diploma.
  • Current valid State of Florida or Multi-State license as a Registered Nurse.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.
  • One (1) year of prior hospital, acute care Nursing experience.
  • Professional certification.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for promoting and restoring patients' health by completing the nursing process.
  • Collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive care.
  • Offers physical and psychological support to patients and families.
  • Supervises assigned team members to ensure quality care.
  • Conducts comprehensive assessments to evaluate the physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual, and lifestyle factors of patients.
  • Develops and implements individualized care plans based on patient needs and standards of care, regularly evaluating and revising these plans as necessary.
  • Administers medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitors for adverse reactions.
  • Educates patients and families about health conditions, treatments, medications, and self-care strategies to promote understanding and compliance.
  • Collaborates with medical staff and ancillary departments to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
  • Maintains accurate and timely documentation of patient information, care activities, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of care plans and interventions continuously, making necessary adjustments to improve patient health and achieve positive outcomes.
  • Ensures compliance with infection control protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements to maintain a safe healthcare environment.
  • Provides emotional support and therapeutic communication to patients and their families, addressing their emotional and psychological needs.
  • Supervises and delegates care provided by members of the healthcare team to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Engages in continuous professional development and participates in performance improvement activities to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
  • Responds to code situations promptly and effectively, providing necessary interventions to stabilize patients.
