About The Position

Registered Nurse Department: Cardiac Med/PCU 7 EAST Location: Trinity Health Ann Arbor Minimum rate of pay: $34.77 PLUS Daily PAY Position Purpose: 7 East provides services to older adolescent, adult, and older adult cardiac patients, acute and chronic Heart Failure patients, as well as medical surgical patients who require cardiac monitoring. Patients on the unit require close and frequent assessment and skillful and timely clinical interventions in order to achieve their treatment goals. 7 East is a 32-bed unit and the average patient age is 64. Shifts Available: - Nights 8 hour shifts; Rotating schedule (Days/Nights) 12 hour shifts Rotating schedule (Days/Afternoons) 8 hour shifts Status Available: Full time, Every Other Weekend and Every other Holiday per year required for Full-time and Part-Time team members.

Requirements

• Education Graduation from a school of nursing that results in the ability of the graduate to sit for the NCLEX exam to become licensed as a Registered Nurse. BSN preferred.
• Licensure · Current State of Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• BLS.
• ACLS required for the following departments : Float Pool, Cardiac/Cath Lab, AICU, Emergency
• Experience Experienced Canadian Registered Nurses are encouraged to apply Graduation from accredited nursing program.
• Effective January 1, 2013 all new hires must have a BSN degree or must agree in writing to obtain their BSN within five (5) years from date of hire or transfer to an RN role.
• Knowledge of nursing theory, practice and age specific needs
• Interpersonal skills necessary to initiate and maintain collegial relationships with coworkers and therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
• Critical thinking skills necessary to perform principal duties and responsibilities of job description.
• Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail when planning and performing professional nursing care
