Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac ICU - Nights
About The Position
The Cardiac Care Unit at High Point Medical Center is an 8 bed cardiac focused intensive care unit that provides care to critically ill patients with cardiac diagnoses. Nursing staff work alongside multiple providers and care teams, to implement a multi-disciplinary care team approach for patients and families. Skills and specialty equipment include advanced airway management, continuous renal replacement therapy, wound management, normothermia management, invasive hemodynamic monitoring, titration of continuous infusion medication drips, care of fresh CABG patients, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump management, and Impella management. As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum. Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

- One year of RN experience preferred
