About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in Interventional Radiology at Texas Health Allen is a full-time position requiring a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. The role involves performing a variety of interventional radiology procedures, including emergencies, within a cohesive and experienced team. The RN will work closely with skilled interventional radiologists and a supportive administrative team. The position requires 10-hour shifts with a rotating day off, and after-hours call, including weekends and holidays. The RN will also float between the Electrophysiology (EP) Lab and Interventional Radiology as needed.

Requirements

  • Diploma of Nursing OR Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • CLIAFE certification required; must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency.
  • 1 year experience as a registered nurse or completion of RN residency program.
  • 1-year post graduate or recent experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab RN strongly preferred.
  • CVRN or CRRN highly preferred.
  • RN – Registered Nurse upon hire required.
  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required.
  • ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days required.
  • PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days required.
  • A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting.
  • Advanced certifications such as CVRN or CRRN.
