About The Position

This Per Diem Registered Nurse will support a rapidly expanding Oncology program in the Southern Maine Region, offering an exciting opportunity for experienced Oncology nurses seeking career growth. This position would hold shifts in a Monday - Friday Clinical schedule. Works closely with the Practice Manager to oversee daily operations of the Sanford, Maine practice. Collaborates with other Oncology leaders across the southern region. Provides direct supervision for Medical Assistant (MA) and Registered Nurse (RN) team members. Provides indirect supervision for administrative, referral, and scheduling teams. Primarily responsible for supervisory duties, with the expectation of providing direct patient care as needed. Performs clinical tasks such as accessing Mediports, rooming patients, assisting with clinic procedures, and triaging. Responds to patient telephone inquiries and coordinates patient care with Infusion Therapy. Manages personnel, mentors and coaches staff, oversees staffing schedules, and ensures regulatory compliance. Assists with employee evaluations and provides onsite support and guidance for the entire team. Ideal candidate has prior oncology and leadership experience, along with excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Summary: The Registered Nurse II - Ambulatory Care-MH PD role uses professional nursing processes to assess the needs of patients and families calling or presenting for care in the physician office and performs a wide variety of patient care services to assist physicians/advanced practice practitioners in delivering excellent care to patients of the practice.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
  • Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required.
  • Current BLS certification require or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
  • One year of RN experience required.
  • Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of a Registered Nurse I - Ambulatory Care role.
