About The Position

This is a general posting for the Burn ICU. We will review our open opportunities together and determine the best fit or invite you to our candidate pool for future openings. The Ascension St. Vincent Adult and Pediatric Burn Center is a dedicated burn care facility in Indiana, located near our Level 1 adult and pediatric trauma center. In addition to burn injuries, the Burn Center treats those with slow-healing wounds and conditions that result in the loss of skin. Hydrotherapy and physical therapy is also offered in the burn unit. We are a certified Burn Center!

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.

Nice To Haves

Preferred experience in Burn Care and Wound Care experience.
Previous experience with critical care, ICU, & Hemodynamic Monitoring also preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
