About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) position at Paradise Valley Hospital focuses on providing comprehensive behavioral health services to adult patients. Requirements

• Must have current and valid State license as a Registered Nurse.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current certification.
• Working knowledge of Mental Health Laws and practice standards.
• Understanding of interdisciplinary treatment team processes and behavioral health programming.
• Knowledge of the continuum of care for behavioral health care.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
• Educate patients about mental and medical conditions and self-management techniques.
• Run therapeutic groups and conduct psychiatric crisis interventions.
• Record patients' medical histories and symptoms accurately.
• Perform diagnostic tests and analyze results as needed.
• Operate medical machinery and administer treatments and medications.
• Assist with patient follow-up and rehabilitation efforts.
