As a registered nurse, you will be responsible for delivery of patient care in the Behavioral Health setting in accordance with established CVMC standards of practice and AACN guidelines. The psychiatric mental health nurse will demonstrate the scope of practice as recognized by The American Psychiatric Nurses Association (APNA) for Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse: Psychiatric-mental health (PMH) nursing promotes integrated and comprehensive health and wellness through prevention and education, as well as assessment, diagnosis, care, and treatment of the full range of psychiatric-mental health disorders, across the life span. Psychiatric nurses practice transpersonal caring to promote the health and healing of humanity. We are a level I inpatient adult psychiatric facility with 19 beds. People are our passion and purpose. Canyon Vista Medical Center is located in Sierra Vista, Arizona and is a 106 bed Joint Commission Accredited offering a number of specialty services. We are proud to serve our community with a Level III Trauma unit, Center of Excellence for Total Joint Replacement, Level I Nursery, American College of Radiology Accredited Facility, as well as many other state of the art services to ensure our patients are cared for.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's or Master's Degree preferred.
- Must have an active Arizona or Compact RN License.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a Behavioral Health setting preferred.
- Must obtain CPR and HANDLE WITH CARE within 90 days of hire.
