Department/Unit Summary Join our team in the Seniors Unit where you will provide compassionate care to patients alongside a dedicated team of Registered Nurses (RNs). You will play a crucial role in assessing patient needs, administering treatments, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on delivering high-quality patient care. How you’ll contribute Provide direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice for behavioral health patients. Collaborate with the interprofessional team to support a safe, therapeutic environment and high-quality outcomes. Report to the Director or Manager of Department. Essential Functions Perform plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities. Document patient care provided in a timely and accurate manner. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families. Assist patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation). Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate care (transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs). Assess learning needs and deliver age-/culture-appropriate patient and family education. Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient. Participate in unit and organizational performance improvement and required continuing education. Provide quality patient care and work other shifts/units as needed; may be assigned on-call. Requirements

  • Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a degree from an accredited nursing school.
  • Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of experience preferred
  • ASLS certification preferred
