Registered Nurse (RN), Behavioral Health, Temporary Increase
About The Position
Fairview Range is looking for a passionate Registered Nurse for inpatient Behavioral Health in Hibbing, MN! The Behavioral Health RN provides direct and indirect total nursing care to patients, oversees unit operations for a shift when functioning as charge nurse, and facilitates unit groups. Our inpatient Behavioral Health department expanded in 2016 and now includes two inpatient, acute psychiatric units. Both units treat a range of mental health issues in adult patients. Schedule: This position is a temporary increase to full time, 80 hours per two weeks, to be added to existing FTE within the department. Day/Evening 8-hour shifts. Anticipated time frame is X days for the temporary FTE. Internal posting window through: 4/4/26 About this unit: 34 beds between 2 units Multidisciplinary care team including Psychiatrist, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners, RNs, LPNs, Unit Assistants, Social Workers, and Mental Health Practitioners. Requirements
- Current Minnesota RN Licensure.
- Current BLS certification or attends BLS class within six months of employment and maintains certification.
- Current BCS certification or attains within three months and maintains certification.
Nice To Haves
- One-year previous experience in Mental Health nursing or two years professional nursing experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform a total systems assessment according to established policies (including physical, psychosocial and spiritual data) upon admission, as well as ongoing assessments.
- Identifies patient needs and/or nursing diagnosis based on analysis of collected data and incorporates into an individualized plan of care.
- Provides age specific direct patient care in collaboration with all disciplines according to standards of care.
- Recognizes and reports adverse patient condition to the physician in a timely manner.
- Promotes the following Patient and Family Centered care concepts: dignity and respect, information sharing within the scope for behavioral health, participation, and collaboration.
