More about our team Denver Springs has 96 beds for inpatient and outpatient services: 1-12 ratio on beds, 4 people supporting each unit.

Requirements

  • Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school.
  • Current unencumbered license to practice by the State Board of Nursing, valid driver’s license preferred
  • Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required
  • Previous experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric and geriatric patients preferred
  • Basic Life Support certification and Handle with Care Training (HWC) within 30 days
  • May be required to work flexible hours
  • Schedule: 3x12/4x10/5x8 + Days (7a-7p)/ Nights(7p-7a) + rotating weekends/every 3 rd weekend/every weekend + on call, holidays, etc. (i.e. 3x12, Nights (7p-7a), rotating weekend – may require some flexibility in scheduling

Nice To Haves

  • A qualified Registered Nurse in Behavioral Health demonstrates strong clinical assessment skills and specialized expertise in managing patients with psychiatric or substance‑related conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
  • Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
  • Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
  • Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
  • Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient
  • Performs timely and accurate QI assessments
