About The Position

Working as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Behavioral Health is a meaningful and challenging role. Requirements

• Must be a licensed RN in good standing with the state (as required)
• 1+ years of nursing experience in a behavioral health facility strongly preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Excellent judgment and problem solving skills (critical thinking) coupled with the ability to work independently
• Reliable transportation required

Responsibilities

• Work under direct supervision using the state-specific Nurse Practice Act, Practice Guidelines and nursing judgment
• Deliver nursing care to patients requiring care, collecting patient data, making observations and reporting pertinent information to the care of patients
• Direct and supervise care given by other nursing staff members as needed
• Provide support and resources to patients and families in order to facilitate recovery
• Participate in quality improvement activities
