About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) position at TGH Behavioral Health Hospital focuses on providing compassionate care in a behavioral health setting. Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing or relevant state licensure required.
• Current unencumbered license to practice by the State Board of Nursing.
• CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact.
• Previous experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric and geriatric patients preferred.
• Experience in patient assessments, family motivations, treatment planning, and communication with external review organizations or comparable entities.

Responsibilities

• Assess the patient and plan care within set time-frames and document findings according to policies.
• Oversee and supervise the shift, demonstrating leadership through delegating tasks such as groups, close observation, and meal supervision.
• Monitor patients for changes in condition and respond accordingly, including notifying the physician as needed.
• Follow hospital policy for medication administration.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
