About The Position

As a Registered Nurse in the Behavioral Emergency Response Team department, you will be responsible for: Utilizing a detailed process to assess the physical and mental health needs of the patient, which will provide a framework from which patient care is planned [knows disease processes, therapy, complications, expected outcomes for specific patient population(s)] Contributing to the development of an individualized treatment plan in collaboration with the inter-disciplinary team providing a comprehensive plan of care. Administering medications according to a policy used for the management of behavioral patients with knowledge of actions, contraindications, side effects, and desired outcomes. Evaluating the effectiveness of the nursing interventions in meeting the identified emotional, psychological, and physical needs, making revisions based on these outcomes

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience caring for patient with primary mental health and/or substance use disorder in an acute care setting (inpatient, ED, etc.
  • Current RN Licensure required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
  • BERT training to be completed prior to the end of orientation.
