About The Position

The Registered Nurse - 5th Floor Med/Surg Unit RN works in a collaborative environment at St Mary's Health Care System to deliver excellent patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team providing evidence-based medicine and individualized patient care. A Registered Nurse RN is expected to facilitate all aspects of the patient visit experience. This position is a great opportunity for a Registered Nurse RN professional to work in an organization that focuses on treating the whole person, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Requirements

• A current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing education program approved by the Board of Nursing.
• Successful completion of a refresher course within the past 6 months if nursing practice has not occurred within the past 5 years.
• Prior experience in a similar role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop, evaluate, and modify care plans.
• Interpret and perform complex patient-care procedures specific to nursing expertise.
• Function as a member of the Care Team and Support Team to accomplish patient outcomes identified in the pathway/plan of care.
• Provide care to patients using therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/technology, and collaboration with other healthcare team members.
