About The Position

The position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) at the Navicent Health Medical Center: Baldwin, specifically in the Skilled Nursing Facility. This is a full-time role requiring 36 hours per week, with a schedule of three 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, including every other weekend and rotating holidays. The Skilled Nursing Unit (SNU) is a short-stay unit with 15 beds, providing transitional care for patients who are medically stable enough to be discharged from a hospital but still require additional services such as IV medications, pain management, and various therapies. The RN will provide professional nursing care according to the State Board of Nursing Practice Act and the American Nursing Association Code of Ethics, being responsible for assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. The RN will also take on leadership roles, ensuring quality care and collaborating with other healthcare staff.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN or eNLC license with the Georgia Board of Nursing.
• Current BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care for assigned patients according to nursing standards.
• Conduct assessments, diagnoses, and evaluations for patients served.
• Plan and implement patient care based on individual needs.
• Serve as an instructor, colleague, researcher, advocate, and leader in nursing practice.
• Ensure quality care and patient safety through process improvement.
• Delegate and evaluate patient care rendered by LPNs, technicians, and other staff.
