About The Position

The position is for a full-time registered nurse in the Nursing Obstetrics/Gynecology department at Atrium Health Cabarrus, specifically focusing on high-risk patients. The role involves working 36 hours per week on a night shift schedule from 7 PM to 7 AM. The pay range for this position is between $34.90 and $52.35 per hour. The nurse will engage in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and apply evidence-based practices. Responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, monitoring patient conditions, and collaborating with the care team to influence care outcomes. The nurse will also uphold a culture of safety, administer medications and treatments, and maintain accurate EHR documentation. The role may require floating to other units and demands knowledge of age-specific care requirements.

Requirements

  • Active, unrestricted registered nurse (RN) multi-state compact and/or single-state license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
  • No formal RN experience required.
