This hiring event will focus on opportunities at Johnson State Prison located in Wrightsville, Georgia. The Registered Nurse (RN) (Medical) is responsible for providing holistic nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to incarcerated patients. This role works under the direction of the Director of Nursing (DON) and/or Nursing Supervisor and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to identify, assess, and respond to a wide range of physical, psychological, and social needs. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides patient-centered nursing care to incarcerated individuals within the scope of practice. Working under the direction of Registered Nurses, physicians, and psychiatric staff, the LPN assists in addressing both physical and behavioral health needs within the correctional healthcare environment.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree required (RN)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to obtain facility security clearance, including drug screening and background check
- High school diploma or GED required (LPN)
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license, or ability to obtain one
- Current CPR certification required (LPN)
- Ability to obtain facility security clearance, including drug screening and background check (LPN)
